GAME PLAY
---------
Bonita Quest is an animated platform game, and this demo includes 1 of the 8 levels in the full game. During the demo, you control either "Bananito" (the boy) or "Bonita" (the girl) by using a combination of keys on your computer's keyboard. These keys are detailed in the "How To Play" section of the demo, accessible from the main page of the demo before play commences.

The player begins each game with 5 lives. Collecting bananas and treasure increase the player's score. Colliding with enemies or projectiles, or falling into water traps, results in loss of energy, and hence loss of lives. At any time during the game the player can eat Bonita bananas to regain full energy for the current life. The player must have 10 bananas to perform this action and 10 bananas will be deducted from the player's total every time full energy is regained. Listen for the "I need a Bonita" audio prompt that will sound when your energy is low.

During the demo the player must work out how best to achieve the goals of the level. Some objects in the game are passable, some are not. Some objects you can jump onto, some you cannot. Some enemies you can duck or jump over or shoot, some you cannot. Some levels in the full game require the player to complete tasks to receive maximum points.

GAME PERFORMANCE
----------------
The Bonita Quest demo has been fine-tuned to perform at an optimum level on computers with slower processors. If your computer is close to the suggested minimum requirements noted above, and you note that the demo slows down in some areas, you might be able to increase the performance slightly by removing the bamboo frame that appears on screen while the demo is being played. To remove the bamboo frame during the demo, use the SHIFT + F keyboard combination. The same keyboard combination may be used to display the bamboo frame if it has been removed.
